Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our high school teaching team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while fostering a lifelong appreciation for literature and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English courses in alignment with the Ontario curriculum.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials.
• Support students with different learning styles through differentiated instruction.
• Promote classroom discussions that build analytical and communication skills.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and administration.
• Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and participation in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree an asset).
• Valid teaching certification is preferred.
• Previous English teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual school setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for teaching, literature, and student growth.
