Description of the Project:
Support the Climate and Health Vulnerability Assessment (CHVA) in Morocco by conducting stakeholder consultations, validating data, and contributing to the analysis of climate-related health risks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, facilitate, and conduct consultations with stakeholders to validate results and gather in-depth insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain data and documents needed for the CHVA.
• Support coordination of in-country missions and organization of priority-setting workshops.
• Draft a methodological note for interviews with stakeholders.
• Prepare a detailed chronogram and roadmap for the assignment.
• Produce a synthesis report summarizing key findings from consultations.
Selection Criteria:
• Master's degree or higher in public health, environmental health, epidemiology, public policy, or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in climate change and health, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Proven in-country experience with health systems and/or health policies.
• Good knowledge of Morocco's public policy landscape and climate-health stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Organizational skills and ability to coordinate workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
• Fluency in French and Arabic.
Terms of the contract:
This is a short-term consultant (STC) assignment for 20 days, the STC will work with the Health, Nutrition and Population team, under the supervision of Zara Shubber and Ilhame Ouansafi, Senior Health Specialist in the Global and Morocco teams respectively, with technical support from Mikhael Iglesias, Health Specialist.
