Job Overview
Identifies the specifications and requirements of the tools and recommends revisions in the design or fabrication, materials, and production processes.

Job Requirements

• Assist with disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of mold tooling.
• Clean mold components and perform visual inspections for wear or damage.
• Support basic mold repairs, part replacements, and detail changeovers.
• Assist with fitting and assembling mold components and checking basic alignment and clearances.
• Help troubleshoot mold issues under the direction of experienced toolmakers.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and setup sheets.
• Assist with conditioning and preparation of new molds for production.
• Perform basic hand work and polishing as required.
• Learn basic welding techniques (TIG/Laser) when trained and approved.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the tooling team.

What Your Background Should Look Like

• Completion of High School required
• Automotive manufacturing experience would be an asset
• Experience in machine shop techniques would be an asset
• Solid understanding of the injection molding process required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel required
• Proficient reading design drawings and blue prints
• Basic knowledge of Laser welding be an asset
• Ability to work flexible work hours, including unscheduled overtime when necessary required
• Technical English
