Role Overview :

As a
Subsystem Technical Lead (SSTL)
, you are responsible for the technical leadership of a defined subsystem throughout its development lifecycle. You ensure the technical feasibility, robustness, and compliance of components from specification to validation, while coordinating Design Release Engineers and suppliers. Acting as a key interface between engineering disciplines, purchasing, and project teams, you drive the delivery of high-quality technical solutions in line with project objectives, milestones, and QCD targets, under the governance of the SSTM (Sub-system Technical Manager) within the
Vehicle Engineering organization.

• Plan and drive the development of the components within his/her scope of responsibility.
• Ensure the
  technical feasibility
  of projects and proposed solutions.
• Lead the preparation of
  Technical Specifications for Production
  for the assigned components.
• Contribute to the definition of
  Statements of Work (SOW) / Specifications (CDC)
  and lead supplier consultation and commitment processes in coordination with DREs, including
  RCT execution
  .
• Ensure the application of
  engineering rules
  , compliance with
  technical purchasing policies
  , and guarantee the robustness and official release of technical specifications.
• Monitor and coordinate
  Design Release Engineers (DREs)
  activities within the subsystem scope.
• Define, together with DREs,
  compliance and validation criteria
  , including part control plans.
• Guarantee the
  quality, completeness, and consistency of technical deliverables
  .
• Ensure the
  integration and validation
  of the components under responsibility.
• Manage
  technical issues, change requests, and design modifications
  .
• Develop and lead his/her task planning in alignment with the
  SSTM overall planning
  .
• Report technical activities to the
  SSTM and RUEC
  , and provide
  QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) reporting
  to the SSTM.
• Contribute to the
  maintenance and continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards
  .
• Drive and coordinate all activities in line with
  project objectives and milestones
  .

What You'll Bring:

• 4 to 8 years of significant experience in industrial project management
  , within the
  vehicle chassis perimeter
  (axles, wheels, tires, suspension systems, etc.).
• Proven experience managing
  end-to-end component development
  , from concept definition to industrialization and serial production.
• Excellent communication skills in French & English.
• Ability to assess and secure the
  technical feasibility
  of mechanical solutions in compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in a
  multi-disciplinary automotive engineering environment
  , interacting with design, validation, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers.
• Solid knowledge of
  automotive development processes
  and project milestones (V-cycle, gateways, tooling release).
• Proficiency in
  CATIA
  for mechanical design review and technical analysis.
• Strong command of
  PLM tools
  for configuration management, technical documentation, and change management.
