Quantity Surveyor – APC Projects

We are looking for a candidate that is located in Jordan. This is a hard requirement.

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support our supervision team. This role involves managing cost estimation, contract administration, and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cost control, transparency, and value for money across all phases of the works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation
• Monitor project budgets and track expenditures against forecasts
• Administer FIDIC red book contracts and prepare variations, claims, and payments
• Provide regular financial reports and cost analysis to project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with contractual and financial procedures

Working Hours: Six days per week (Friday off), with compensation aligned to workload and responsibilities.

Project Context

Haskoning is engaged in the supervision of numerous projects with APC, which involves critical infrastructure works requiring accurate quantity surveying and cost management. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for contractual administration under Fidic red book contracts as well as preparing bills of quantities, monitoring budgets, and supporting procurement in close coordination with engineering and project management teams.

Location: Dead Sea Area, Jordan

Duration: Initial contract for 6 months, with potential for extension based on project needs and mutual agreement.

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying within infrastructure or civil engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement procedures
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and international standards
• Proficiency with surveying methods and tools
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g. Excel, Civil3D)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing financial aspects of engineering projects
