We're Hiring: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor – Morocco
As part of our customer 400/30kV GIS Substation project in Jorf, Morocco, we are seeking qualified
EHS Manager / Supervisor
to join the site execution team. This role will play a key part in ensuring compliance with Customer "Zero Harm" objectives and maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across all project phases.
This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive organization.
Role Overview
Read and implement all aspects of customer EHS documentation.
Preparation of periodic reports, for the customer
HSE Statistics Tracking
EHS Plan Update
Updating the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Management Plan
Emergency Response Plan Update
Updated Contaminated and Potentially Contaminated Land Management Plans (Aspects and impacts environmental)
Update of the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Plan
Updated Traffic Management Plans in the Vicinity of the Work
Advise everyone on the implementation of EHS procedures and assist as needed.
Ensure and control reviews of EHS plans submitted by other parties performing work on the site.
Coordinate EHS measures taken or to be taken by other parties working successively or simultaneously on the site.
Ensure that EHS decisions taken at the various meetings and inspections are respected, in particular those taken at regular safety meetings and joint inspections.
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with other parties on the site, including their EHS personnel, to ensure that they are trained as much as necessary to meet project management requirements.
Establish a system of reviews to measure the effectiveness of EHS systems and procedures and ensure that requirements are effectively communicated to the entire workforce.
In the event of an imminent danger to the safety of personnel and/or the environment or a violation of applicable legislation or the agreed EHS manual, ensure that work is stopped and does not resume until the hazards have been reduced.
Conduct a review of incident investigation reports.
Provide EHS training to staff.
Raise awareness of EHS among all personnel on the site and ensure their participation in all aspects of the CEHSMP.
Compile and communicate EHS statistics project to the project owner.
Ensure that noise measurements are carried out on the construction site.
Inform and liaise with the appropriate authorities.
Support the commissioning team to facilitate safe commissioning activities.
The EHS manager will be permanently present on the site.
Qualifications :
Degree in Engineering or EHS (minimum: Bachelor level).
Minimum
10 years of construction safety management experience
, preferably in
electrical substation projects
.
Strong knowledge of Moroccan safety and environmental regulations.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Excellent English and Arabic and frensh (Moroccan dialect) communication skills.
Electrical accreditation for working near energized equipment
