Context:

The E/E Allocations & Interfaces Design team has to provide an EE Architecture able to respond to Functional needs, defined at System level, and is in charge of delivering specifications to the component teams, based on architecture design.

Issue/Purpose:

A Control architect job's is to ensure that the Functional Design can be achieved by the different Electronic and Electric reference architectures.

ORGANISATION

The
Control Architect:

• Is driven by the System Team Leader STL) for his/her EE design work.
• Is driven by the Allocation Synthesis Architect to know the deliveries schedule and the different projects expectations.
• Manage the Sub-System Control Architect involved in his/her Function.
• Realize the Allocations for his/her EEAD perimeter.

INPUTS, OUTCOMES, and MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Inputs / Prerequisites:

The
Control Architect
will get all the relevant information to optimize the functional allocation to Sub-Systems from:

• System Team Leader (STL),
• Sub-System Architect,
• Sub-System Control Architect,
• Component Leader.

Main Activities:

Specific activities at System level:

• Contribute to STL design Group Impacts Analysis and/or lead EE QCTP & Allocation Concept with Vehicle Systems Architect & EE Infrastructure Architect.
• Supervise the consistency in an EE baseline architecture responding to the FSE functional specification by participating to STL Design Groups and representing EE Allocation profession.
• Supervise and Report projects Needs implementation from Function Design to EEAD Subsystem allocations.
• Tracing its contribution & Global FSE overview in design justifications folder.
• Building the EE interface synthesis for a FSE functional architecture design.
• Integrate and verify that the FSE EE performances (temporal & operational requirements) are met by EE Sub-Systems Design.
• Contributing and / or force the Functional architecture Design in order to obtain a functional interface design allocable to EE architecture.
• Verify that FSE functional architecture design allocations on subsystem level are compliant with the EE components and the EE Infrastructure.
• Contributing to the functional safety/cyber concept and their integrations
• Contributing to the EE diagnosis synthesis for his/her perimeter
• Check in his/her EE design the different diversities (eg: vehicles, features, functions, Sub Systems configurations) and ensuring that the designs are compliant.

Specific activities at Sub-System level:

• Analyze the Sub System functional Design in order to define the best allocations regarding EE infrastructures and Component strategies.
• Control and / or constrain the Sub System designs (eg : functional, requirements, performance…) to obtain an allocable sub system functional decomposition and making sure that functional or dysfunctional requirements can be allocated to the EE components.
• Add some EE transfer functions or treatment chains in sub system designs to adapt the functional to the EE architecture.
• Make the functional allocation to the EE Components.
• Analyze the EE QCTP work or to do some EE QCTP with the EE infrastructure designer.
• Specify requirements treating the impacts stemming from the EE components (eg :In/out EE interfaces, EE life phases, EE diagnostic needs, Safety and cybersecurity impacts, temporal constraints…) with the associated justifications.

• functional Design (Service description, Project Needs, HMIs, …)
• Synthesis of EE deliverables (QCTP, Ssyst EEAD, EEA views, Messaging catalog)
• V&V plan & synthesis

At Sub-System level:

• System mapping
• EEAD
• DCI
