This role focuses on testing the Orderwise software prior to its release, to ensure it meets the required quality standards.

The core aim is to validate the product's stability, functionality, and compliance through thorough testing of each version before deployment
.

Responsibilities

  • Test Orderwise Software, using various testing methods
  • Analyse requirements (specifications/user stories) and define test conditions
  • Review test analysis produced by other QA team members when required, providing constructive feedback
  • Perform manual tests against these test conditions
  • Create and maintain automated tests, where required
  • Analyse and report faults to improve software quality
  • Liaise with QA colleagues and Software Engineers when required to ensure issues are understood, effectively recorded and communicated to ensure a satisfactory resolution
  • Participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support other colleagues in their development and training
  • Suggest ways to improve existing processes within the QA team

Mandatory:

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of software testing
  • Logical and thorough approach to problem solving
  • Quality focused / excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised with good prioritisation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and accurately
  • Be motivated and client focused
  • A team player with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of the team
  • Approachable with a willingness to help others
  • Ability to present information in a friendly yet professional manner

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience in testing software manually and via automation
  • Hands-on experience of testing desktop applications and browser based applications
  • Hands-on experience using Selenium Webdriver/automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience using Page Object Model / Page Factory in Selenium
  • Hands-on experience in working within agile sprint teams
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Working knowledge of Git-based source code repositories
