We are hiring on behalf of one of our partners in the technology sector and are looking for an Information Security Assurance Consultant to support the execution and delivery of information security assessments across a large international organization.

Reporting to a Senior Information Security Assessor, the consultant will play a key role in managing and implementing security assurance activities and reporting assessment outcomes to senior leadership within the Information Security department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Information Security Assurance assessments across the organization

  • Deliver Information Security Assurance reports to stakeholders and leadership

  • Ensure assessments within scope meet quality standards and delivery deadlines

  • Support the management of multiple ongoing assessments and projects, including:

    • Monitoring progress

    • MI (Management Information) reporting

    • Administrative follow-up

  • Provide advice and guidance to the Information Security Assurance team on security assessment matters

  • Work collaboratively with the wider Information Security Assurance team and the Information Security department

  • Propose innovative ideas and new ways of working to improve the effectiveness of the Information Security Assurance function


Profile required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computing, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field

  • Certifications (beneficial but not required):

    • CISSP-ISSAP

    • CISM

    • CISA

    • CRISC

    • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor

  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in information security assurance, security governance, risk management, internal control, or internal audit

    • Experience working in an international and matrix-based environment

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Security Assurance

    • Security Governance and Risk

    • Information Security controls

    • Operational Resilience

    • Physical Security and Safety controls

  • Understanding of internal control frameworks and/or internal audit practices

  • Ability to manage multiple assessments or projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable interacting with management and senior stakeholders

Languages

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Personal Qualities

  • Self-motivated and self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to function effectively in a matrix organization
