Altus Group is currently seeking a candidate in the position of a Real Estate Associate Analyst to join our Altus Global Service Center. The Associate Analyst will work within a dynamic team gaining exposure in (but not limited to) commercial real estate valuation.

The Associate Analyst will be primarily responsible for coordinating with appraisers and project administrators to set up projects within various internal data management systems and formatting high quality appraisal proposals and final reports.

The role will also afford the Associate Analyst opportunities to gain exposure to the appraisal process including opportunities to support in data ingestion, financial analysis, and reporting.

Job Summary

Key Responsabilities

• Manage setup of work files including verifying and reviewing source data
• Ensure projects are set up completely and accurately in accordance with established standard operating procedures and timelines for assigned business unit(s). Project set up may include Salesforce, Kantata, and Workday.
• Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and reliability of data and analysis.
• Request clarification or notify appropriate team members of issues related to data
• Communicate with colleagues to address any questions or concerns regarding project administration and/or appraisal reports
• Provide updates on project set up or appraisal report status and handle any revisions or additional requests
• Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of internal data management systems
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of data and/or report production.
• Accurately complete time sheets on a daily basis ensuring non-billable time and
• recoverable expenses are clearly outlined

Key Qualifications

• BSc Degree in Economics, Finance or Real Estate (or equivalent).
• 0-2 years related experience in Finance, Commerce, Real Estate, Economics
• Languages: Fluency in English & French. Additional European languages are an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and oral presentation
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Etc.)
• Basic skills in creating financial models (i.e., Excel, Argus, etc.)
• Ability to understand and interpret a lease for modeling.
• Understanding of source data that consists of budgeting, actuals, rent roll, recoveries, etc.
• Excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills
