Purpose of the function:

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our pump products to customers, sales teams, and other internal departments. The Application Engineer possesses in-depth knowledge of pump technology, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pump industry, HVAC, or related industries with a focus on applications engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of pump technology, including centrifugal, positive displacement, and specialized pumps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make recommendations for pump solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in pump sizing and selection software, such as Pump-Flo or FLOWSOLV.
  • Familiarity with pump industry standards and regulations, such as API, ANSI, and ASME.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Main accountabilities:

In addition to the below-mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.

  • Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal departments on the application of pump products and systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and analyze customer requirements to design and select the appropriate pump solutions.
  • Develop and prepare technical proposals and specifications, including equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop custom pump solutions and modifications as needed.
  • Provide technical training to customers and internal stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of pump products.
  • Participate in the development of product literature, application notes, and other technical documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of pump industry trends, standards, and regulations.
