About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons with respect to Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and International A-Level , equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills to thrive in the digital age.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science in line with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level standards
- Teach core topics such as algorithms, programming, data structures, networks, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Encourage computational thinking, problem-solving, and coding proficiency through hands-on learning.
- Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student performance in accordance with school and Cambridge standards.
- Support students in developing project-based learning and prepare them for university-level studies in computer science or related fields.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Teaching qualification or certification (PGCE or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A-Level Computer Science.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for innovation in technology and digital learning.
