Role Description
This remote, full-time Engineering Risk Surveyor role involves conducting risk surveys and assessments for reinsurance purposes. Responsibilities include evaluating engineering risks across various industries, compiling comprehensive risk reports, recommending risk mitigation strategies, and coordinating with reinsurance stakeholders. The role also includes providing insights into physical risk assessments and facilitating communication between clients and reinsurers to align on risk-based strategies and solutions.
Qualifications
- Expertise in engineering risk surveying, risk management, and reinsurance assessments
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with experience in asset valuation and fire prevention risk analysis
- Experience in post-incident claim adjusting and risk audits for insurance or reinsurance purposes
- Proficiency in analyzing natural catastrophe risks, political risks, terrorism assessments, and cybersecurity audits
- Ability to prepare detailed, professional risk reports and recommendations
- Strong communication, client relationship management, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with Pan-African and Middle Eastern insurance markets and regulatory frameworks is a plus
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, risk management, or related fields
- Fluency in English and French is desirable
