Department Focus: Based on the role's responsibilities, this position appears to be a key part of our Information Security or IT department, which is a new function within the company. This department would be dedicated to ensuring the security, reliability, and integrity of our systems and data. As a new department, it provides a unique opportunity to build and shape the foundational security practices that will support Deliverect's aggressive growth plans. This team plays a critical role in providing our people and customers with peace of mind that their data and our platform are secure.
Your Impact: Given our ambitious and aggressive growth plans, you will be the foundation of information security initiatives that aim to further secure our infrastructure, data, and applications. As a new position, this presents the perfect opportunity for a driven individual to fast-track their career. You will demonstrate a passion for data privacy and information security challenges in information technology and will act as a subject matter expert looking for an enriching experience to build your career and our brand. The Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist will be relied upon to provide Deliverect teams with the information security expertise necessary to make confident decisions.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Madrid or Casablanca office and 2 days from the comfort of your home. What you will do:
- Coordinate security and information governance compliance efforts.
- Perform internal compliance assessments based on identified controls and assist with remediation and improvement efforts.
- Lead privacy compliance and vendor management efforts.
- Conduct risk assessment and reporting, as well as risk tracking.
- Maintain company information security and privacy policies.
- Assess compliance and advise parts of the organization on policy implementation.
- Manage the third-party risk program, assessing risks and security posture of the organization's suppliers.
- Advise on security best practices and applicable controls frameworks.
- Support security incident reporting and management.
- Own the Security Awareness platform and educate key stakeholders.
- Fine-tune the Data governance strategy.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-5 years of experience in an information security role.
- Experience working with information security governance, control frameworks, and risk/compliance methodologies.
- A passion for what you do and a desire to do it well.
- Experience in Cloud environments and SaaS tools.
- The ability to work closely and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes adhere to agreed security standards.
- Knowledge of the IT Domain (Infrastructure, software development, and Data protection).
- Experience in the identification, evaluation, and documentation of policies, processes, and controls.
- Fluency in English is required.
