Automation Test Assistant

【Job Summary】

The Automation Test Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the test engineering team in executing automated testing processes, including writing basic test scripts, running automated test cases, recording test results, and conducting preliminary analysis of software defects. This role aims to improve system testing efficiency, reduce repetitive manual work, and ensure the functional stability and quality reliability of the product before release.

【Core Responsibilities】

I. Automated Test Execution and Support

Assist in writing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts (e.g., Python, Java, Selenium, Playwright, etc.).

Run automated test cases according to the test plan and record the test process and results.

Assist in continuously optimizing test cases to improve automation coverage.

Conduct preliminary troubleshooting when tests fail, collecting logs, screenshots, and runtime data.

II. Test Documentation and Data Management

Assist in preparing test documentation, including test plans, test reports, script descriptions, etc.

Organize test data and test environment configurations to standardize the testing process.

Record test defects and track their status in defect management systems (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).

III. Test Environment Setup and Maintenance

Assist in maintaining the test environment, including deploying test versions and managing test equipment and tools.

Work with engineers to set up and configure automation frameworks (CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).

Assist in monitoring the operation of the automated testing platform and provide timely feedback on issues.

IV. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Support

Communicate test results with the development team to assist in reproducing and locating problems.

Participate in test process optimization with product, R&D, and QA teams.

Support manual testing, regression testing, or compatibility testing as needed by the project.

【Job Requirements】

Education Background

Associate's or Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

Professional Skills

Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript preferred).

Familiar with mainstream automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Postman, etc.).

Understand software testing theories (black-box, white-box, regression, smoke testing, etc.).

Familiarity with common collaboration tools such as Git and Jenkins is preferred.

Experience Requirements

0-2 years of experience in software testing or automation testing (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

Preference will be given to candidates with practical scripting or project internship experience.
