About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Specialist to support our financial operations in Morocco. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily accounting activities, payment processing, LC coordination, financial reporting, cost control, and ensuring compliance with both local Moroccan financial regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and strong coordination abilities with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage daily accounting transactions including AP/AR, expense entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate posting of invoices, payments, and financial data in the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Handle petty cash, bank transactions, and treasury activities.

2. Payment & LC (Letter of Credit) Management

  • Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and supplier settlements on time.
  • Prepare and verify LC documents in coordination with banks and suppliers ensuring compliance with LC terms.
  • Follow up with the bank for LC issuance, amendments, and settlement.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team regarding LC documents linked to shipments.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Support budget preparation and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
  • Review quotations, purchase orders, and contracts for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct cost analysis to support management decisions.
  • Identify and report cost-saving opportunities.

4. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure all financial activities comply with Moroccan accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support annual audit processes by providing clarifications and required reports.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with the logistics team regarding imports, customs duties, and cost allocation.
  • Coordinate with sales on invoicing, customer payments, and credit terms.
  • Collaborate with HR for payroll processing and staff financial matters.
  • Provide timely reports and financial insights to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within trading, industrial, or heavy machinery sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards, taxation rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in LC processing, bank coordination, and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
