About UM6P:
Located at the heart of the future Green City of Benguerir, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), a higher education institution with an international standard, is established to serve Morocco and the African continent. About the EPS:
The UM6P Engineering Physics School (EPS), established by UM6P, stands as a premier engineering physics school in Morocco. Over a three-year program, it trains physicists to emerge as future entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals in the Kingdom and across Africa. The program awards an EPS engineering degree, and its education and research are developed at the UM6P Institute of Applied Physics.
The School of Applied & Engineering Physics is opening applications for End-of-Study Internships in the following research subjects :
- 2D Materials and THz Applications
- Theoretical Insights into the Interaction between metal nanoparticles and perovskite oxides
- Site Testing for Radio Astronomy in Morocco Using Satellite Data
- Landau levels and Rashba spin orbit effects on the magneto-optical of Monolayer Transition metal Dichalcogenide. The aim of this project is to study the important role played by spin-orbit interactions and more precisely the Rashba effect in the phenomena of magneto transport in 2D materials.
- Anisotropic exciton Stark shift in two dimensional crystals in the framework of Effective mass theory : application to black phosphorus.
- Engineering Schottky Barriers at Pt/ZnO Interfaces: DFT Insights into the Role of Mg Doping
We offer a multidisciplinary research environment including cutting-edge facilities such as the UM6P High-Performance Computing (HPC) & latest Experimental setups. Selected candidates will benefit from a scholarship.
