Smart Fit is one of the largest fitness chains in Latin America and is expanding rapidly in Morocco. We are committed to providing accessible, high-quality fitness services. To support our growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team in Casablanca.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that Smart Fit Maroc operates in full compliance with Moroccan laws and regulations. You will provide expert legal guidance to management, draft and review contracts, manage compliance programs, and mitigate legal risks across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on all legal matters related to the company's operations, including corporate, labor, commercial, and regulatory issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (employment, suppliers, leases, partnerships, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Moroccan labor laws, data protection, tax regulations, and other applicable legislation.
- Represent the company in dealings with regulatory authorities and external legal counsel.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Develop and implement internal policies and compliance programs.
- Provide legal training and support to management and employees.
Requirements:
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Law (Business Law, Corporate Law, or similar).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate, labor, and commercial law in Morocco.
- Strong knowledge of Moroccan legal and regulatory framework.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Fluent in Arabic, French, and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
