Business Cash Flow Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Credit Collector. As a key member of our Shared Service Centre, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service while collecting overdue invoice payments.

You will be responsible for managing assigned debtors, ensuring timely collection of cash, minimizing bad debts, and meeting debtor day targets. To achieve this, you will need to communicate effectively with customers, maintain high levels of professionalism, and work collaboratively with your team.

• Credit control of assigned debtors, including high-volume collection activities on small and large value invoices.
• Targeted collection call/email campaigns to maximize cash recovery.
• Action and resolve customer invoice queries and disputes, raising credit memos when necessary.
• Reconciliation of customer accounts, including journal debits, credits, chargebacks, debit memos, and invoice adjustments.
• Accurate posting and allocation of daily incoming payments, including BACS, cheques, and credit card remittances.
• Maintenance and reconciliation of unallocated cash on assigned debtors.
• Generation and transfer of accounts to legal status.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email within agreed timescales.

• GCSE education or equivalent.
• Substantial credit control experience (minimum 2 years).
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Able to work under pressure, meet targets, and adapt to new processes and procedures.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Successful candidates will undergo a basic security/CRB/DBS check.
