. The Clinical Application Specialist is a healthcare professional responsible for supporting the clinical implementation and use of general imaging equipment and technology. They work closely with radiologists, technologists, and medical institutions to ensure that general imaging systems operate optimally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Training and Support:
- Provide training and hands-on support to radiology staff, including technologists and radiologists, on the proper use of general imaging and mammography equipment.
- Provide training and clinical support to Fujifilm Distribution Partners including clinical, sales and product teams for general imaging and mammography systems
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on new,updated and existing general imaging and mammography systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems affecting general imaging and mammography systems performance and image quality
- Advise on best practices in general imaging and mammography imaging techniques and patient care procedures, ensuring products meet the clinical demands of the customer.
- Clinical Application Support:
- Serve as a clinical expert on general imaging and mammography equipment, providing guidance on system settings, imaging techniques, and optimal workflow.
- Assist in the clinical workflow integration of general imaging and mammography equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
- Analyze and interpret general imaging and mammography system performance, providing suggestions for improving image quality and patient care.
- Product Support (Pre/Post Sales Support):
- Demonstrate high degree of applications and systems expertise of designated Fujifilm products for general imaging and mammography systems
- Maintain clinical and product knowledge proficiency
- Demonstrate general imaging and mammography equipment to potential clients, providing clear explanations on system capabilities and clinical advantages/benefits in the form of remote and onsite product presentations and physical demonstrations.
- Support sales, product and marketing team to promote Fujifilm products from a clinical perspective
- Assist with product testing, product validation and clinical assessments
- Assist with tender specifications validation for sales and product teams
- Support the sales and marketing teams with clinical expertise for product launches and marketing campaigns
- Support conferences and seminars with product demonstrations
- Prepare clinical application support material for sales and applications
- Produce well-written post-training reports
- Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs
- Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization:
- Keep knowledge updated with regulatory standards and guidelines for general and mammography imaging, to ensure equipment is compliant
- Know how to perform general and mammography imaging system calibrations, updates, and quality checks
- Help facilities comply with accreditation requirements and perform required documentation for quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot any clinical or operational issues for general imaging and mammography systems.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing consistent support and addressing any concerns related to equipment or imaging processes.
- Perform regular post-installation customer site visits.
- Act as the main point of contact for any clinical-related inquiries regarding general imaging and mammography systems.
- Provide ongoing post-installation training and customer support as needed over the lifecycle of the product.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field. Certification in Mammography (e.g., ARRT) is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mammography and general imaging, with hands-on experience in operating mammography equipment and performing general imaging procedures.
Skills
- Must be proficient (written and oral) in English, Arabic and French languages
- Expertise in mammography imaging systems and clinical workflows.
- Strong understanding of radiologic principles, patient safety, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train staff and interact with clinical teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to imaging equipment.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Working Conditions
- Travel to customer sites is required 70% of working time
- The role involves both on site support and office work (training, administration)
- The specialist may work in a hospital, clinic, imaging center or office setting.
