Global Mission:

Under the authority of the Chief Vehicle Engineer, theProject Quality Manager is in charge of Quality objectives achievement of the Project, by carrying out the actions necessary to their elaboration, consolidation and management :

  • manages the follow-up of the results (Product/Process) and sets up the preventive and corrective actions necessary to the achievement of the Quality targets
  • Review that the conditions of organization, the operating processes, knowledge and skills necessary are met for the achievement of the Quality targets

The Project Quality Manager represents the customer within the Project team.The Quality manager has Delegation of Authority from Program quality leaders.

Responsibilities:

All along the project :

  • Ensures the
    feasibility of the quality targets
    , taking into account the experience feedback and the plans of progress with the stakeholders
  • Organizes the
    training plan of the Project team
    (all topics, not only Quality).
  • Maintains the
    Quality dashboard
    of the Project: establishes the Quality indicators for each phase of the Project
  • Supports the engineering team to ensure the quality
    convergence of the main suppliers
    and manages the quality supplier's follow up (
    APQP
    ), since the supplier's choice until the end of the project
  • Insure the traceability of the components,
  • Expresses the
    voice of Quality/Customer
    prior to any decision taken by the Project (Project Decision Meeting).

During Design phase

  • Manages the process of
    risks management
    : lessons learned from previous cars. Identification of the risks, implementation of the corrective action plans, check out of their execution.
  • Manages the
    robustness of the RFQs and the definitions
    of the car, by ensuring that all the requirements of the stakeholders (performance, plant, after sales, …) are taken into account

  • Participate in building the
    Gap & Flush referential of measurements
    and support actions to reach
    Perceive quality
    targets.

During industrial phase and after launch

  • Coordinates the
    organization Project-Plant
    to ensure the final tuning of the Product/Process and the specific Quality operations in industrial phase (defects management, batch method, , modernization/batch containment yard campaigns…)
  • Organizes and manages detection, analysis and
    treatment of the defects
    detected on the physical means.
  • Manages the
    incoming inspection
    of the external parts
    (detailed responsibilities to be confirmed in Stellantis)
  • Ensures to have the
    latest and greatest parts
    on the cars
    (detailed responsibilities to be confirmed in Stellantis)
  • After the commercial launch, ensures the
    treatment of customer claims
    coming from the field and the plant (Field Early Warning)
  • Prepares and provides, at the end of the Project, the Quality information necessary to the
    transfer to the mass production
    (serial life)

Must-Have Skills

  • In-depth field experience regarding supply chain processes and project quality Performance.
  • Ability to optimize supply chain processes for maximum quality control.
  • Uncompromising ability to investigate and challenge timings.
  • A results-driven business mindset, capable of making well-supported suggestions.
  • Fluency in English and local language(s).
