Import and export customer service specialist

  • Handle day-to-day import and export operations, including documentation preparation, verification, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate customs clearance procedures with local customs brokers, port authorities, and relevant government departments in Morocco.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other required documents.
  • Ensure accurate HS code classification and compliance with Moroccan customs regulations, import/export laws, and local trade policies.
  • Follow up on cargo status from port arrival to final delivery, including customs clearance, container release, and inland transportation.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and warehouses to ensure smooth cargo movement.
  • Monitor customs inspection processes and resolve clearance issues, valuation disputes, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Control and track customs duties, VAT, port charges, and other related costs, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of all import and export documents in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal teams by providing updates on shipment status, clearance timelines, and potential risks.
  • Assist in handling special shipments such as bonded cargo, temporary import, or project cargo when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company internal procedures, reporting requirements, and risk control standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 6,000.00DH - 8,000.00DH per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Casablanca: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
