About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior MBD Engineer with extensive experience in Electrification to lead model-based design and development for e-drives, battery management systems, and charging systems. This senior role requires hands-on expertise in system modeling, control theory, and software function development for high-voltage components in electric mobility. Further, the Senior MBD Engineer should be motivated to lead a team in the context of Electrification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead system and function development for high-voltage electrification components: power electronics, battery management systems, charging systems, DC/DC converters.
- Conduct requirement analysis and engineering at system and software level.
- Define and maintain system and software architecture.
- Develop and implement software function units using Matlab/Simulink.
- Oversee calibration, testing, and automation tools development for software functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused, high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Extensive experience in Electrification, including e-drive controls, battery management, and/or charging systems.
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink.
- Proven expertise in model-based design (MBD).
- Strong foundation in control theory and signal-flow modeling of mechatronic systems.
- Professional-level English communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Codebeamer, Doors, Cameo Systems Modeler, Capella, Enterprise Architect.
- Programming experience: Python, C/C++.
- German language skills a plus.
- Experience with calibration tools (INCA, INCA Flow, CANape) and dSPACE.
- Experience in Team Management.
