Title: Novel Hybrid Quantum Simulation Algorithms For Complex System Application
Context: Quantum simulation represents a pivotal shift in computational methodologies, providing fresh solutions to some of the most challenging problems in science and engineering. While its theoretical advantages and early experimental successes are promising, overcoming current hardware and algorithmic limitations remains essential. The continued evolution of quantum simulation is expected to be driven by interdisciplinary collaboration among physicists, computer scientists, and engineers, ultimately unlocking its full potential for real-world applications
Research objective: The purpose of this document is to establish a background overview for future research in Quantum Simulation for complex systems—a preliminary description and early-stage proposal for my PhD studies. While the specific fields and application methods are still being defined, significant challenges and unanswered questions remain. This initial outline represents my first comprehensive articulation of the broad research vision I intend to pursue, inviting further exploration and innovation to address these critical gaps.
It is important to note that there are numerous potential research directions given the vast number of combinations between selected methods and industry-relevant applications and use cases. I have intentionally maintained an application- and industry-agnostic overview, with the goal of pursuing further research that will strategically position our work within the literature.
