Senior Financial Controller
to join our leadership team and drive our financial excellence to the next level.
The Role
As our Senior Financial Controller, you'll oversee the full financial operations of the property, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and profitability across all departments. You'll act as the financial strategist and trusted advisor to ownership and the General Manager, translating numbers into actionable insights that guide business decisions and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the
preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. - Supervise
daily accounting operations
, including income audit, bank reconciliations, and AP/AR management. - Manage
budgeting and forecasting processes
, ensuring accurate variance analysis and actionable reporting. - Implement and monitor
cost control systems
across all revenue centers (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Day Pass, Events). - Optimize
profitability and cash flow
, providing data-driven recommendations to improve GOP and EBITDA. - Ensure
compliance with Moroccan tax regulations
(VAT, TPT, TS, CNSS) and corporate reporting standards. - Oversee
CapEx tracking
, ROI evaluation, and intercompany financial structures. - Coordinate
external audits
, liaise with banks, tax advisors, and ownership representatives. - Lead and mentor the finance team to uphold a culture of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
- Contribute strategically to
business expansion projects
, financial modeling, and investor presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA preferred).
- Minimum
5+ years of experience
in hospitality finance or hotel controllership. - Strong command of
hospitality financial systems
(PMS, POS, ERP, Excel modeling). - Deep understanding of
hotel P&L structures, cash flow management, and cost control
. - Fluent in
English and French
; Arabic is an advantage. - Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to thrive under deadlines.
