Software Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of our software prior to its release. The core aim is to validate the product's stability, functionality, and compliance through thorough testing of each version before deployment.
The ideal candidate will have a logical and thorough approach to problem-solving, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
They should be able to learn quickly and accurately, and be motivated and client-focused. A team player with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of the team, they should also be approachable and willing to help others.
The position involves testing Orderwise Software using various testing methods, analysing requirements and defining test conditions, reviewing test analysis produced by other QA team members, performing manual tests against these test conditions, creating and maintaining automated tests where required, analysing and reporting faults to improve software quality, liaising with QA colleagues and Software Engineers when required, participating in appropriate training activities, and suggesting ways to improve existing processes within the QA team.
Mandatory skills include understanding of the fundamentals of software testing, quality focused approach, well-organized prioritization skills, ability to learn quickly and accurately, motivation and client focus, team player ability, approachability, and willingness to help others.
Nice to have skills include hands-on experience in testing software manually and via automation, hands-on experience of testing desktop applications and browser-based applications, hands-on experience using Selenium Webdriver/automation frameworks, hands-on experience using Page Object Model/Page Factory in Selenium, hands-on experience in working within agile sprint teams, working knowledge of SQL, working knowledge of Python, and working knowledge of Git-based source code repositories.
