Location Overview

Join our team in Amanjena. Inspired by the rose-hued buildings of old Marrakech, palatial Amanjena is close to the fabled Red City, set in its own expanse of gardens and grand open spaces. Shaded courtyards with fountains lead to the central basin, bordered by spacious standalone Pavilions & Maisons, many with private pools. Views stretch across the olive groves and palms of the oasis, extending to the High Atlas Mountains on the horizon.

Role

The Spa Manager's mission is to ensure proper management, promotion, development, and optimization of financial results. She must strengthen the Spa concept's credibility in the field of wellness products and convey Amanjena's image and prestige.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train on-site teams to ensure their skills development
• Identify actions to maintain team cohesion and employee motivation
• Monitor staffing schedules
• Organize and lead regular team meetings (briefings, debriefings, brainstorming sessions on improving the Spa offering)
• Ensure that schedules are adapted to hotel activity
• Identify employee issues (administrative, personnel, disciplinary, etc.) and take ations to resolve them
• Report guest feedback to the Line Managers regarding services, prices, quality, etc.
• Establish and communicate qualitative and quantitative objectives to the team
• Monitor booking schedules daily
• Supervise the progress of treatments performed and monitor compliance with protocols
• Evaluate guest satisfaction through daily face-to-face discussions
• Handle guest complaints
• Supervise or monitor market trends, product developments, and guest expectations
• Proposing new concepts to guests
• Oversee the implementation of promotional actions for selected products
• Manage relationships with brands and suppliers (product selection, proposing new developments, order management, etc.)
• Analyze the qualitative results of purchasing and adapt the spa offering accordingly
• Manage the inventory of cabin products, sales products, linens, and snacks
• Detect product non-conformities and adjust the product range accordingly
• Participate in defining the spa department's budgets and monitor their implementation on a daily basis
• Analyze and monitor the department's commercial and financial indicators
• Report on departmental activity to Senior Management
• Identify levers for optimizing results (revenue, expenses) for the Spa department and oversee their implementation
• Set business objectives and guidelines and analyze variances between forecasts and actual results
• Supervise general spa maintenance and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve technical maintenance issues
• Monitor the cleanliness of the stock and ensure all products are properly labeled
• Control the level of hygiene and cleanliness of the Spa premises
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the stockroom and linens
• Ensure the proper functioning of the treatment rooms
• Ensure that staffing levels are in line with activity (drawing up and/or checking attendance schedules)
• Be a driving force for employees, assisting, helping and motivating them on a daily basis
• Ensure that all information relating to important clients is correctly transmitted
• Check team dress and hygiene on a daily basis
• Evaluate employees annually
• Carry out all tasks and instructions from the General manager to achieve the hotel's objectives

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or Wellness Management.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing a Spa in a 5 stars or luxury environment.
• Previous experience with Opera PMS and accounting software.
• Fluency in French and English required; additional language is a plus
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing multicultural teams.
