Position Overview
UM6P is seeking a Digital Learning Platform Manager to oversee the Canvas platform as well as other LMS solutions used across the university.
The Digital Learning Platform Manager will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the platforms, working closely with faculty, instructional designers, IT teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and maintain the Canvas LMS and additional LMS solutions.
Ensure platform availability, scalability, and data security in line with institutional policies.
Provide support and training to faculty, students, and administrative staff.
Partner with instructional designers to integrate digital tools, content, and assessments.
Monitor and report on platform performance, usage, and analytics to drive improvements.
Oversee system upgrades, integrations (SSO, APIs, third-party tools), and vendor relations.
Establish and document governance processes, policies, and best practices.
Contribute to the university's digital learning strategy by identifying emerging technologies and solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
Demonstrated experience in managing LMS platforms, ideally Canvas.
Strong knowledge of learning technologies (SCORM, LTI, xAPI, etc.).
Familiarity with identity management, integrations, and data privacy standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Prior experience in higher education or digital learning projects is an asset.
