We are looking for a Senior Inventory Designer / Lead Designer expert who can rapidly build expertise on complex subjects and act as the design authority for sensitive insurance applications.

The successful candidate will closely work with actuarial, finance and IT teams to structure business needs, lead design activities, and ensure solution consistency throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What you will do

Functional design

  • Lead end-to-end functional design within the squad
  • Collect, challenge and formalize business requirements
  • Identify high-value functional features
  • Model business processes (AS-IS / TO-BE)
  • Define non-functional requirements
  • Understand architecture diagrams and data models
  • Write functional documentation (guides, procedures, specifications)
  • Contribute to test strategy and perform functional testing
  • Support incidents and business requests

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as functional reference for the squad
  • Lead workshops and business meetings
  • Work closely with actuaries and subject-matter experts
  • Bridge business needs and IT delivery
  • Break down needs into Epics and User Stories
  • Estimate workload and complexity
  • Promote best practices and ensure delivery quality

Agile Delivery

  • Work in Agile SCRUM / SAFe environments
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, review)

  • Insurance inventory processes
  • Technical provisions and annuities
  • Health, Provident and Pension actuarial
  • Accounting flow and data supply chain
  • Life insurance closing process
  • General and analytical accounting
  • Group & individual insurance products
  • Reinsurance fundamentals

  • Mainframe (Cobol / DB2 / IMS)
  • Jira / Confluence
  • Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

What you bring / You are

  • A senior functional designer with strong insurance expertise
  • Solid knowledge of actuarial concepts (provisions, annuities, inventory)
  • Comfortable working with expert actuarial teams
  • Able to quickly understand complex topics
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Structured, precise, and reliable
  • Confident leading meetings and workshops
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator with both business and technical teams
  • Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented

Insurance Domain Knowledge

Experience or exposure to:

  • Insurance operations
