Job Purpose

The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing civil engineering works for real estate and construction projects, from site preparation through structural and finishing stages. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with approved designs, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Technical Oversight

  • Lead and supervise all civil engineering activities on residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects.
  • Review, interpret, and coordinate drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, technical standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during execution.

Planning, Coordination & Control

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and sequencing of works.
  • Coordinate activities with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor site progress, productivity, and resource utilization against approved schedules.

Quality, Health & Safety

  • Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures across all construction phases.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards, site safety regulations, and local statutory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and participate in safety meetings.

Cost & Contract Management

  • Assist in cost control, material management, and budget tracking.
  • Review subcontractor measurements, variations, and progress certifications.
  • Support contract administration and claims management as required.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and mentor Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Foremen.
  • Ensure effective manpower planning and site coordination.
  • Promote high performance, accountability, and compliance on site.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with local authorities and utility providers when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's Degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in real estate development and construction projects.
  • Strong background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
  • Proven experience in site execution, supervision, and coordination of multiple subcontractors.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, with French considered a strong advantage.
