Purpose of Role: The Senior Technical Project Manager for Weir Minerals North Africa has the responsibility for the independent execution of the technical aspects across a portfolio of Managed Projects up-to and including high-complexity, value, risk, strategic importance and according to the contracted deliverables  to include projects assigned directly to them & also the projects assigned to their reports

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the Technical Project Management function within the Bid Development process in order to advise the commercial organisation on contractual and operational risks plus the consideration of historical lessons-learned
• Partner with the Project Management & Supply Chain team and to consider the most efficient  solution from a technical perspective relative to cost and risk to ensure the successful execution of the contract to meet the customers' requirements
• Lead the technical aspects of project relative to the customer requirements & relationship - co-ordinate acceptance tests and support successful handover and close-down of the projects
• Partner with the Project Management team in the capturing of  lessons learned throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure the wider business understands what went well and suggested improvements

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-years experience as a Technical Project Leader/Manager, ideally within mining
• A minimum 3-years working experience in a cross-functional projects organization.
• Bachelor-Degree in Engineering (Essential) with Mining Engineer degree preferable
• A minimum of 3-years international experience in a capital equipment/solution driven organization, preferably mining-sector related – including the disciplines of:
• Process Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civils Engineering
• Piping/Hydraulic Engineering
• Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineering
• Fluency in Arabic, French & English languages is Essential
