The Job for IMS engineer, includes below responsibilities :
o Support and Maintain IMS core nodes for Telecom environment
o IMS nodes and interfaces traces analysis & otroubleshooting
o Debugging of problems: identifying and viewing logs, compare/contrast, investigation
o Responsible for multiple on site customer support activities and be expected to keep new product offerings on track Maintain functional and technical requirements
o Self-disciplined, self-motivated and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively. Ability to think quickly, take the initiative and willingness to make judgment calls.
o Be able to communicate about IMS issues effectively and in a comprehensible manner both to internal and external customer.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
:
o Respond to and manage customer/internal escalations
o Get involved in early solution phase and ensure to provide and receive constructive feedback and maintain healthy relationship with stakeholders.
o Ready to go extra mile and flexible for working on-site and remote, Including off-business hours
Skillset/Experience
:
o At least 3 to 5 years of experience deploying and supporting Core MSS, IMS or equivalent technologies regardless of the vendor.
o In-depth understanding of IMS architecture trafic and signaling.
o Knowledge of "Cloud" technologies and ecosystem, Open Stack Architecture and the components
o Must know architecture, operations and be able to troubleshoot bugs within OpenStack to achieve root cause analysis
o Identifying relevant specific components and interfaces needed for a cloud infrastructure & virtualization platform.
o Cloud Management Platform (VIM controller)
o End to end architectural know how on Open stack components (RHEL/Cent OS & Linux components)
o Working on SRIOV, PCI-PT, OVS compute nodes ,Nova (Compute) knowledge
o Cloud - execution environment, cloud orchestrators, Knowledge on Performance tool like Zabbix, ceilometer
o Excellent knowledge on Data centers, Compute, Storage( CEPH storage ) and Networking-DC network virtualization based on SDN controllers and virtual switches
o NFV architecture
o Redhat/Centos and anyone of the cloud technologies (OpenStack, Azure, AWS)
o Linux distributions: Ubuntu, Centos, Red hat
o Prior experience in Systems Architecture or Systems Engineering, Cloud, Network Operation are desirable.
Networking relevant skills
:
o ISO model
o TCP/IP
o Ability to understand and read network config files
o Understand netmasks, GWs, routes, ospf, static routing, lacp, trunks, vlans, vxlans
o Proxy: familiarity, understand what it is, has ideas to resolve
o Debug routing errors, trace E2E path
o Understand Leaf/Switch topology
o DNS, DHCP, NTP
Specific knowledge preferred
:
o RH Open stack certification (CL210 | CL310)
o RHEL Certified Administrator
o Storage certificate HP, EMC, IBM etc is plus
o Python
o Kubernetes
Good level of english is a must for this Role
