Quality Engineer Laboratory and C&C – Automotive Greenfield Plant

Role Purpose:

As a Quality Engineer Laboratory and C&C , you'll be leading and coordinating product and process quality assurance and improvement activities being part of the cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares root cause analysis for product and process related concerns (internal and external claims) with teamwork approach in C&C and in manual processing area
• Responsible in defining and verifying of corrective and preventive actions for internal and external claims
• Monitoring of implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Verifying the efficiency of corrective and preventive measures
• Supports cross-functional team with problem analysis and problem-solving methods
• Organizes Quality Inspectors work in respective area when necessary
• Prepares instructions and makes training to Quality Inspectors (checking instructions, inspection method, procedures etc) when applicable
• Responsible for the organization of the work of the Internal Laboratory in terms of satisfying the requirements of Laboratory standard ISO 17025, internal procedures and requirements of the IATF 16949 standards;
• Coordinates calibration process of measuring gauges
• Perform gauge MSA studies to control measuring device applicability for their defined use and stores records of the results; monitors that MSA is done for all measuring devices in the area.
• Leads process risk analysis (FMEA) and creation of control plan with relevant team; makes sure improvements from analysis are planned and implemented
• Prepares quality reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing of quality data; based on data makes recommendations for improvements
• Performs internal process and quality system audits
• Applies statistical methods to understand and develop process control and capability (SPC) in C&C and in manual processing using applicable tools (Solara; Q-Das)
• Validation of equipment and tools (applicators; USW tools)
• Performs internal process and quality system audits
• Coordinates and drives continuous improvement program

Your Profile:

• Education:
  Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
• Work experience:
  Minimum 3 years' experience in similar position
• In-depth knowledge of automotive industry standards (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / VDA)
• Proficient in automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and 8D methodology
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 standard
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings, technical and assembly drawings
• Internal Quality Auditor certification (Advantage)
• Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve issues and respond to customer requests in timely manner
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to support fast, data-driven decisions.
• Gage/GD&T understanding (Advantage)
• Knowledge of VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5 (Advantage)
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, quality software, data analysis tools)
• Strong cooperation and communication skills
• Effective team player able to collaborate across functions and cultures
• Proactive approach with strong ownership of tasks and improvement initiatives

• Fluent in English, Arabic and French.
