Food & Beverage Captain

We are seeking a passionate and service-driven Food & Beverage Captain to oversee front-of-house operations at a renowned luxury hotel in Qatar. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional guest service standards, strong team leadership, and a deep understanding of luxury dining protocols to ensure seamless operations and memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day front-of-house activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Provide hands-on leadership to the service team, maintaining high standards of professionalism, hygiene, and presentation.
- Manage section assignments, shift schedules, and floor operations during service periods.
- Coordinate effectively with culinary and bar teams to ensure flawless communication and service flow.
- Support and train new and existing team members in brand standards and service techniques.
- Proactively address guest feedback, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and readiness of the dining area before and during operations.
- Monitor inventory levels for linen, glassware, and service supplies, reporting shortages promptly.
- Uphold compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies.
- Enhance sales and guest experiences through effective upselling and engagement.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in F&B or hospitality management are an advantage.
- 2–3 years of experience in luxury hotel F&B operations, including at least 1 year in a Captain or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive, guest-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic, Russian, or other languages is a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
