Partnerships Manager: FinTech Expert

About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with key partners — including processors, acquirers, alternative payment method (APM) providers, card schemes, and issuers.
You'll act as the
main operational point of contact
for these partners, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across the network. Working closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Product, Compliance, and Commercial), you'll drive initiatives that reduce costs, improve approval rates, and ensure seamless merchant experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Partner & Processor Management
- Manage daily operational relationships with partners: onboarding, migrations, credentials, and go-live readiness.
- Coordinate investigations and corrective actions to resolve operational or technical issues.
- Support partner-specific needs and ensure business continuity across markets.
Commercial & Enablement
- Negotiate pricing, SLAs, and special commercial terms.
- Manage the fines process and ensure compliance with card scheme mandates.
- Enable partner features and support the rollout of new payment flows.
Merchant Operations
- Support merchant integrations and go-lives, ensuring smooth operational execution.
- Act as the escalation point during critical incidents, collaborating with Customer Success and Account Management teams.
Performance & Optimization
- Analyze partner performance and payment routing to drive improvements in approval rates, latency, and costs.
- Identify and implement new capabilities and features aligned with business goals.
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain a Partner Health Matrix, run regular performance reviews, and define actionable improvement plans.
- Report key metrics, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.
What We're Looking For
- 4–6+ years of experience in
payments, fintech operations
, or
partner/processor management
. - Strong knowledge of
card schemes, acquiring, and APMs
. - Proven experience
negotiating commercial agreements
and managing SLAs. - Solid understanding of
payment operations
(APIs, routing, settlement, reconciliation). - Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across teams and time zones.
- Proficiency in
Excel/Sheets
; SQL or BI tools is a plus. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Fluency in
English
(other languages are a plus).
