Description
Africa50 is an infrastructure investor and asset manager that contributes to Africa's growth by developing and investing in bankable projects, catalysing public sector capital, and mobilizing private sector funding.
Africa50 has raised over US$1 billion so far from 33 African countries, the African Development Bank, two African Central Banks and Africa's largest pension fund. Africa50 has an independent investment process and seeks to generate commercial risk adjusted returns for its investments across key infrastructure sectors: Energy (including power generation and related parts of the value chain), Midstream gas, Transportation, ICT, Health infrastructure, Education and Fintech.
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic individual to lead the development and execution of initiatives across Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, Administration, and key HR Projects. This role will play a critical part in optimizing HR operations, enhancing employee experience, and supporting organizational effectiveness through data-driven decision-making and streamlined processes.
Principal Responsibilities
The Senior HR Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits
- Design, implement, and manage Compensation & Benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Lead the annual salary review and bonus processes, coordinating with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to support pay strategy decisions.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing compensation schemes, benefits packages, and reward frameworks.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, advising the Senior HR Director on compensation-related matters.
Administration
- Oversee and manage all HR contracts, employment agreements, and HR documentation.
- Liaise with relevant ministries and government authorities to ensure compliance and secure necessary documentation.
- Administer and manage company insurance programs (health, life, other).
- Lead and oversee the Facilities Management team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace.
- Ensure smooth delivery of all HR administration processes while continuously improving efficiency.
HRIS & Digitalization
- Act as the functional owner of our intranet platform.
- Partner with IT and vendors to ensure our HRIS system meet evolving organizational needs.
- Drive digitalization of HR and Admin processes, streamlining workflows and enhancing employee experience.
- Develop HR reporting and analytics dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Projects & Strategic HR Support
- Support the Senior HR Director on key HR initiatives and projects.
- Manage and deliver assigned HR projects within scope, timelines, and budget.
- Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to align HR practices with organizational objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement across HR functions.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or any other related discipline;
- A minimum of 15 years relevant experience with significant exposure to Compensation & Benefits, Administration, and HR systems;
- Demonstrated experience leading salary review and bonus cycles and working with benchmarking tools;
- Proven track record in digitizing HR processes and managing HRIS platforms.

Language Requirements
Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
