is partnering with a leading multinational industrial group to recruit a
Plant / Site Manager
for its new ICM facility located in the El Jadida / Safi region. This role will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the plant, ensuring excellence in safety, production, quality, and resource management. The position will play a key role in establishing a high-performance operating model aligned with corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and HSSE, ensuring full alignment with corporate operational frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across all functions to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, ensuring timely corrective actions and overall achievement of operational objectives.
Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to HSSE regulations and company policies.
- Oversee quality systems and ensure product compliance with internal and external standards.
- Implement and enforce risk management strategies, guaranteeing business continuity and regulatory conformity.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, talent development, and performance management.
- Act as a key liaison between the plant and corporate leadership teams, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Represent the plant before government authorities, industrial partners, suppliers, and strategic stakeholders.
- Deliver accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting to senior leadership.
- Coordinate with global functions to ensure consistency with corporate guidelines, systems, and operational frameworks.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- Postgraduate studies or certifications in industrial management, lean methodologies, or HSSE are a strong asset.
Professional Experience
- 8–10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record (5+ years) in senior operational or plant management roles within chemical, cement, mining, industrial materials, or complex manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing high-complexity, safety-
- sensitive operations.
Technical & Managerial Competencies
- Strong command of production, maintenance, quality, and HSSE management systems.
- Solid understanding of operational reporting, performance indicators, and budget management.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement programs.
- Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Hands-on operational approach with a strong results orientation.
Languages
- Arabic and French: fluent
- English: Proficient. Is considered a plus.
- Spanish: Proficient. Is considered a plus.
