Fragrance Laboratory Team Leader -
Your future position?
We are currently hiring for a 'Fragrance Laboratory Team Leader' to coordinate the Fragrance Laboratory operations in Morocco and provide technical support to Givaudan's clients across Maghreb and West Africa. You will provide support on product formulations, process improvement and application of fragrances into the products.

Based in our Casablanca office and reporting to the Technical Director for the SAMEA region, you will join a creative, passionate, and winning team, and support our continued success story in the SAMEA region.

In this exciting role, with a 'can-do' mindset, you will -
Laboratory:

• Oversee daily lab activities, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Ensure adherence to protocols, safety guidelines, and standards
• Coordinate activities of application lab, including preparation of samples for internal and external customers and definition of priorities
• Act as point of contact in the lab for specific customers/projects
• Maintain clear lines of communication with Evaluators, Perfumers and Sales on status of projects and sample requests and ensure timely closure
• Set up stability tests and monitor in conjunction with Creative Fragrance Management team

Technical Support:

• Lead technical presentations to customers
• Develop formulations and suggest new concepts and ideas to meet expectations of internal teams and external customers
• Support plant trials at customer site as and when required
• Conduct technical studies including studies on customer bases, stability and compatibility of fragrance ingredients, base and fragrance interactions studies
• Network with internal contacts (S&T and other Technical teams) and external contacts (Suppliers and Universities) in order to exchange and update knowledge

People Management:

• Manage a team of Technicians, plan, organise and optimise their work
• Provide training and mentoring to lab employees

Your professional profile includes -

• Degree in Chemistry or other related Science field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in formulation, perfumery or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leading or supervising people and laboratory
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English, Arabic and French languages
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to give attention to details
• A flexible team player with a sense of facilitation and strong organisational skills
