Role Purpose:

To supervise, control and lead a fleet of vehicles and a team of drivers and loaders to deliver customer orders on time and with available resources.

Team Management

  • Organizes and staffs the delivery team with adequate resources and talent in order to achieve the desired levels of Organizational Excellence.
  • Provides the delivery team with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.

Delivery planning and management

  • Plans and schedules the routing of deliveries to achieve maximum fleet utilization and timely deliveries.
  • Ensures accurate deliveries / right quantities and items delivered to customers.

Cost management

  • Recommends the delivery fleet mix between owned and hired fleet in order to optimize delivery cost.
  • Recommends number and sizing of delivery vehicles.

Customer Relationship

  • Participates in customer visits in order to improve customer service levels and customer satisfaction.

Delivery Routing

  • Generates pick slips and print trip reports and pass them to floor supervisor to support delivery cycle.
  • Sorts pick slips by delivery date and area to support delivery schedule.

TM Purpose

  • Acts as a role model by living Transmed Purpose on daily basis.

Rôle Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics
