Job Title : Senior Sales Executive
Reports To: Cargo Director
Job Purpose
The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to maximize cargo revenue and volume. This role involves overseeing sales activities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring high service levels for airline clients represented by APG Cargo in Morocco.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and tonnage targets.
- Identify new business opportunities to increase market share and expand the client base.
- Promote the airline's cargo products and services to achieve sales objectives.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to refine sales tactics.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, freight forwarders, and other cargo stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving service issues promptly.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and follow-up meetings to enhance service offerings and client satisfaction.
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the airline's operational teams to ensure seamless service and timely cargo handling.
- Liaise with ground handling agents, customs, and airport authorities to ensure efficient cargo operations.
- Oversee logistics, including planning and scheduling cargo shipments to optimize space.
Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including revenue, tonnage, and profitability.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc sales reports for internal and airline management.
Budget Management
- Prepare and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses and manage sales campaigns within budget constraints.
Team Leadership & Training
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team, setting performance objectives and providing regular feedback.
- Provide training and support to ensure the team is knowledgeable about the airline's products and services.
- Foster a positive, performance-driven work environment to meet the team's and company's goals.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all activities comply with airline standards, APG's policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee adherence to quality and service standards, including safety, documentation accuracy, and timely responses.
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Analyze and forecast market conditions to inform the strategic direction for sales efforts.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align sales strategies with broader company goals.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cargo sales or freight forwarding, preferably within a GSA or airline environment.
Skills :
- Proven track record in sales, with strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales data.
- Proficiency in cargo management systems and CRM software.
- Fluency in French, Arabic, and English.
