Role Purpose

The General Trade Channel Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales and growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships. 

Main Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement channel sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of GT channel business development plan with very clear objectives and tactical action plans from forecasting to execution.
  • Identify, prioritize, and build strong long term mutually beneficial relationships with key channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and retailers providing support, training, and resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, trade marketing and finance, to ensure alignment and support for channel initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary through close follow up of key KPIs achievements, Net Sales, In Market Sales (IMS), DIH (Days Inventory Held), Forecasts, Payments, Coverage, Distribution and Penetration.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on channel performance, highlighting key metrics and insights to senior management.
  • Manage channel partner contracts, agreements, sales budgets, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and mitigate risks.
  • Drive assortment, product launches and promotions through channel partners, ensuring effective execution and ROI and based on market specifics and potential.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or marketing or similar from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of Sales and/or Trade Marketing experience. Experience in FMCG is preferrable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, Arabic and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Proven experience in channel management, sales or business development.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels and partner ecosystems.
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and develop actionable insights and to drive key KPIS: Net Sales, Gross Margin, IMS, Sell Out, Distribution, Coverage, Quality of POS executions, Budget Spent and Category Growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and complex business situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and business.
