Job Summary

Primary purpose of the job is Sales & Business development activities for Measurement Solutions (Pressure, Temp, Analyzer, Flow and Level Field Instrumentation, Wireless products) in Metals and Mining Industry within Morocco and assigned French-speaking Countries (Mauritania, Senegal, Ivory coast, Burkina-faso, etc.). This position is intended to drive traditional Measurement Solutions technology conversation, competitive displacement, new applications and technology adoption/acceptance of the Emerson products/solutions to grow business in the metals & Mining sector.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Sales, Business development, support project pursuit initiatives, to meet or exceed BU financial Targets for Metals & Mining industry.
  • Uncover growth opportunities and manage all the Sales opportunities in identified Metals & Mining Accounts (Mining Customers, EPC's /OEM's/ System Integrators) for Measurement Solutions products in Morocco and assigned French speaking African countries.
  • Understand the applications, challenges and specific needs for field instrumentation in the Metals & Mining industry and align with customers' specific challenges to recommend the right products from Emerson Measurement solutions.
  • Participate in developing and accomplishing sales strategies to penetrate new customers, projects and Spares opportunities. Maintain an accurate project pursuit list, monthly sales forecast from identified Metals & Mining Accounts.
  • Provide monthly reports and forecasts to Sales Director and Director – Industry diversification, meet the sales target forecasted for each month
  • Improve Business group and customer satisfaction by meeting end user to understand, communicate and implementing solutions to their needs.
  • Collaborate with other regional MSOL sales individuals, Product Managers, LBPs and cross BU resources across Morocco and selected French speaking Africa countries- as needed -, work closely with Emerson & LBP proposal generation groups to ensure all offers reflect customer needs, competitively priced and are submitted on time.
  • Liaise with customers, Emerson teams and LBPs to prioritize effort, gather competitive intelligence and improve customer service, consistent with Business Group's sales strategies and Key Account Plans
  • Keep up to date with developments and trends in products, industries and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans partnering with the Regional Managers or Country leaders.
  • Work closely with other Emerson Business groups like System& Software, ISV, DISC etc to improve pull-through content and identify white spaces.
  • Support strengthening existing and develop new Business Group relationships and develop new relationships with customer or third-party personnel (i.e., regulatory, legal agencies, customer technical boards, consultants, buying house etc.) who may influence and make buying decisions.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required
  • Ensure adherence to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices
    Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Have Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
  • Have 5+ years interactive relationship with Metals & Mining end users, EPCs, consultants
    Track record of business growth

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Masters' degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
    French & English Language fluency is an advantage
