At Packed, we are building a decolonial, abolitionist alternative to mass tourism. Our mission is to reconnect travelers with local communities, protect culture from commodification, and ensure tourism uplifts rather than exploits.
We are looking for Regional Managers to join our growing global network. This role is not for those who see tourism as entertainment, but for those who understand its history of extraction in the Global South and want to transform it into a tool of repair and solidarity.
What you'll do:
- Map and reach out to hostels, hotels, and guesthouses in your region.
- Invite them to apply to become PACKED-certified accommodations.
- Explain the benefits: certified partners are recommended to travelers and receive 5% of every experience booked through their unique code.
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with local hosts, ensuring their voices remain central.
How it works:
- Once an accommodation is certified, your role is complete. Your network might still get in touch with you in case they have specific demands.
- From then on, you earn 10% of all experience sales in your region for as long as your contract remains active.
- In other words: you work upfront to build partnerships, and in return you secure a passive, long-term income stream.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong communication skills in your local language and in English.
- Availability to send and respond to emails at least once a day.
Preferred:
- Some knowledge of the tourism industry.
- A personal history of traveling.
- Deep love for your homeland and a genuine desire to protect your community.
